As a Desktop Support Technician, you will be essential to ensuring smooth technological operations for over 6,000 users. You’ll dive into hands-on technical support, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and managing equipment deployments. Your expertise will empower employees to seamlessly navigate their daily tasks, contributing to the overall efficiency of the organization.
What You’ll Do:
- Provide real-time technical support and resolve technology problems for internal customers.
- Fulfill service requests, including moves, adds, and changes to computer systems.
- Administer Windows 10, Windows 11, and Mac OS X desktops and laptops.
- Install, troubleshoot, and provide support for desktops, laptops, monitors, and printers.
- Offer phone support and remote assistance as needed.
- Deploy and reclaim computer equipment, maintaining an accurate asset management database.
- Document work using designated tools.
- Deliver exceptional customer support to internal employees.
Must-Haves:
- Bachelor’s degree in a technology-related field or 1-3 years of recent experience in an enterprise-wide internal Service Center environment.
- Working knowledge of PC technical support for Windows 10, Windows 11, and Mac OS X.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
The target hiring compensation range for this role is $16.85 to $18.73 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
