Job Purpose

The Program Manager will be responsible for the strategic planning, initiation, development, implementation and management of Learning and Development programs and initiatives in the organisation across multiple platforms.  The Program Manager will also act as a liaison and work closely with various departments to ensure clear communication and the successful delivery of the organisation’s talent growth and learning and development functions and outcomes.


Essential Functions and Responsibilities

Program Development, Planning, Management and Execution

●        Develop and co-ordinate the organisation’s multiple learning and development programs and initiatives and ensure flawless planning, execution and successful completion.

●        Develop and implement learning curriculums.

●        Oversee multiple L&D activities and projects, co-ordinate cross-functional teams, and ensure that the L&D initiatives and program goals align with the strategic objectives of the organisation.

●        Continuously assess and improve the Learning and development programs based on feedback and industry best practices, providing guidance where needed to achieve L&D program goals.


Recruitment and Selection

●        Develop and execute a recruitment strategy to attract high-potential individuals from diverse backgrounds.

●        Liase with training facilitators to identify, recruit and onboard potential candidates.

●        Create and deliver comprehensive induction and onboarding and training sessions covering the organisation’s policies, culture, values and specific and essential job skills.


Training and Development

●        Create Training schedules and calendars and identify suitable L&D programs and initiatives.

●        Identify, recruit and manage training facilitators.

●        End to end co-ordination of learning and development programs.


Performance Management

●        Track the progress and performance of learning and development programs using required L&D methods and evaluate the performance through regular assessments, feedback sessions, performance reviews while ensuring adherence to program plans and deadlines.

●        Assign tasks, roles and responsibilities based on skills, strengths and program requirements and address performance issues promptly and implement corrective actions when necessary.


Quality Assurance

●        Ensure that all program deliverables meet quality standards and senior management’s expectations.

●        Implement best practices and continuous improvement processes during the L&D programs.

●        Assess program effectiveness and make data-driven improvements.


Documentation and Reporting

●        Maintain a comprehensive and up to date program documentation, including program and project plans, status reports, and meeting minutes.

●        Prepare and present regular, accessible and up to date program reports to relevant parties to enable proper decision making.


Stakeholder Management

●        Represent the organisation both internally and externally in the delivery of L&D programs.

●        Liase with external stakeholders across different sectors to ensure regulatory compliance.

●        Foster a positive and inclusive environment that encourages learning and growth.


Budget and Resource Management

●        Ensure the L&D programs are completed on time within scope, resource allocation and risk management strategies.

●        Track budget and forecast future financial needs ensuring efficient use of resources.


Process and Workflow

●        Define, design and implement the Learning and Development program structure, including rotation schedules, L&D modules, and evaluation processes.

●        Develop a comprehensive training curriculum, projects, and external training sessions.

●        Partner with universities, career fairs, and online platforms to promote the organisation’s L&D programs and initiatives and identify potential candidates.

●        Assign mentors and facilitate regular check-ins to ensure program progress and address any concerns.

●        Set career development goals and create personalised development plans.


Success Measures

●        Ensure the alignment of Learning and Development program objectives with the organisation’s business strategy and expectations. Monitor program issues and facilitate resolution to ensure minimal impact.

●        Ability to develop new ideas and initiatives for the organisation’s programs.

●        Assessment and improvement of the organisations programs and initiatives.

Qualifications

●        Bachelors or Masters degree in Business Administration, HRM, L&D, or other relevant fields.

●        Minimum of 5 years experience with a proven track record as an L&D Program Manager or Co-ordinator.

●        Exceptional oral and written communication skills, analytical and problem solving abilities.

●        Advanced proficiency in using technology such as to streamline processed and enhance productivity.
