Job description
Lead civil Engineer will oversee and manage various construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency. Responsible for the supervision of project planning, designing, and providing
technical guidance on all civil engineering aspects of rea estate developments.
You will ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget and scope. Ensure all projects comply with all relevant regulations and standards.
Responsibilities
1. Project Panning and Development: Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies to determine the viability of potential projects. Develop detailed project plans, including cost estimates, timelines, and resource allocation.
2. Design and Documentation: Produce detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and documentation for project works. Use CAD software and other engineering tools to create and review project designs.
3. Construction Management: Supervise construction activities to ensure compliance with engineering standards, codes, and specifications. Oversee the work of onsite contractors and labourers, ensuring they adhere to project plans and safety protocols.
4. Quality Control and Assurance: Implement and maintain quality assurance and quality control procedures. Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure the integrity and durability of constructions.
5. Compiance and Regulation: Ensure all projects comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
Liaise with regulatory bodies, and obtain necessary permits and approvals.
6. Stakeholder Management: Communicate effectively with clients, delivering clear and concise updates on project progress and any potential issues. Coordinate with architects, consultants, and other professionals to integrate designs and plans.
7. Cost Management: Monitor project budget and control expenditures. Prepare and submit budget estimates, progress reports, and cost-tracking reports.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education: Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field from a recognized
institution.
-PMP Certified
-Certification: Membership in relevant professional bodies such as the Nigerian Society
of Engineers (NSE) and COREN (Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria) is highly
desirable.
-Training: Continuous professional development in civil engineering practices, health
and safety, and project management.
Experience
Minimum of 7 years of experience working on construction projects as a project
manager preferably within the real estate sector.
Technical Skills: Proficient in AutoCAD, civil engineering software, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Project Management: Strong project management capabilities, with a proven track
record of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
