Finance Manager

              
An experiential marketing and advertising agency in Lagos is looking to recruit an experienced Finance Manager. Candidates must have at least 5 years experience as a Finance Manager. Experience in the advertising industry is an advantage.

Duties and Responsibilities:


Financial Accounting functions


▪ Invoicing and Management of Account Receivables

▪ Petty Cash Management

▪ Fixed Assets Management

▪ Support General Ledger Management and Reconciliation.

▪ Support preparation of Monthly Reports as required

▪ Support preparation of timely financial statements as might be required.

▪ Maintain documented system of accounting policies and procedures

▪ Improve the company’s accounting operations, especially the control systems, transaction-processing operations, policies and procedures

▪ Assist Forecast cash flow positions and available funds for investment

▪ Prepare consolidated financial statements in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standard (IFRS)

▪ Coordinate the provision of information to external auditors for annual audit

▪ Comply with state and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.

▪ Schedule regular compliance reviews in accordance with internal policies, procedures and practices

▪ Support the preparation of company’s budget and in delivering the budget process

▪ Timely reporting to management on budget variances and rationale for such variances

▪ Compile key business metrics, financial results and report them to the CFO timely and regularly.

▪ Carry out other duties as assigned by the CFO

Total Quality & Compliance Management Functions

▪ Maintain documented system of accounting policies and procedures

▪ Improve the company’s accounting operations, especially the control systems, transaction-processing operations, policies and procedures.

▪ Implement financial risk controls for all bank accounts, portfolios and funds of the company

▪ Schedule regular compliance reviews in accordance with internal policies, procedures and practices

Financial Reporting Functions


▪ Perform end of the month processing on Depreciation, Amortisation et.c

▪ Support timely preparation of management accounts for the company

▪ Comply with state and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings

▪ Support preparation of ad-hoc monthly Reports as required

▪ Support timely, regular preparation of management accounts for the company

▪ Support preparation of timely financial statements as might be required.

▪ Coordinate the provision of information to external auditors for annual audit

Management Accounting Functions

▪ Prepare sales invoices and periodic age analysis to advise on collections.

▪ Perform regular risk/return analysis on across the company’s asset classes/operations

▪ Prepare reports on the company’s assets, financial performance, profitability, liquidity, and solvency.

▪ Compile key business metrics (KPIs), financial results and report them to management timely and regularly.

▪ Manage the preparation of company’s budget and in delivering the budget process

▪ Liaise with business lines and support departments for preparation of operating, capital and financial budgets.

▪ Perform monthly review of budgetary compliance and advise on variance with remedial measures,

▪ Support financial analysis as needed, in particular for capital investments, pricing decisions and contract negotiations

▪ Serve as a member of the budget review committee to present reports and provide advice as necessary.

▪ Carry out other duties as assigned by the CFO.

Qualifications


▪ B.SC Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field

▪ Professional certification is a must

▪ Masters degree is an added advantage.

▪ Minimum of 5 years experience as a Finance Manager

▪ Knowledge of accounting principles, state and federal tax laws remittance and compliance.

▪ Excellent oral and written communication skills.

▪ Analytical, critical and problem solving skills and abilities.
