SeedFi, a lending technology firm improving the lending experience for customers and developing solutions to improve risk management for lenders is seeking a Finance Associate with 5-10 years of experience to oversee all financial activities within the firm. Reporting to the CCO and working closely with the management, the Finance Associate will be responsible for all tactical and operational duties of the accounting and finance function. This includes preparation of accounting schedules, management reporting, statutory reporting and internal and external stakeholder management reports. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our financial operations, providing strategic guidance, and driving financial performance to support our business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the development and execution of financial strategies to drive business growth, providing strategic financial guidance to senior management.
Oversee financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes, including the preparation of monthly financial reports and annual budgets.
Conduct financial analysis and risk assessments to identify opportunities and mitigate risks.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and accounting standards, including tax computation, remittance, and stakeholder engagement.
Develop finance team members to foster growth and collaboration.
Drive process improvements in financial operations to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Collaborate cross-functionally to support business initiatives and strategic goals.
Stay informed about industry trends, market developments, and regulatory changes impacting financial operations.
Maintain accurate accounting records, prepare financial statements, and manage operational expenses.
Develop reporting dashboards for stakeholders using tools such as Google Data Studio, Excel, and Power BI.
Monitor and report on key performance metrics to drive business productivity and success.
Required Qualifications:
B.Sc. in Accounting, Finance or relevant field
Previous working experience in an accounting/finance function in a financial institution (minimum 4 years experience)
Professional certification or Part Qualification – (Professional level of ACA, ACCA is an added advantage)
Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite Applications (Excel, PowerPoint)
Good knowledge of Accounting Software (Sage, Quickbooks, Microsoft Dynamics etc)
Excellent communication skills.
Intermediate report writing skills.
Basic presentation skills
Compensation: N7,000,000 – N9,000,000 gross annually
